I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer and are ready to learn all about Cashmere Middle School. I am so excited to meet each and every 0ne of you next week and get started on an exciting school year! This is such a fun time of year so please do not be nervous, we will take good care of you. <br /><br />I hope throughout the summer you have been doing things to keep your brain active and learning! One thing that you can do to prepare in the next week is practice your multiplication math facts. I am sure that you ALL know these, but over the summer you can get a little rusty. We have a lot coming up this week.<br /><br />First we will be starting our next science kit; <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Environments</span>. This unit includes hands on investigations with both plants and living creatures! We will explore how both living and nonliving factors interact within their <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">environment</span>.<br /><br />In Math we will be wrapping up our unit on Fractions and taking our unit test Friday. Be sure to study throughout the week.<br /><br />We also have the opportunity to travel to the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Wentachee</span> Performing Arts Center on Wednesday for a theatrical performance of the Hobbit. Also, don't forget to have Science Notebooks ready to be graded by the end of class Wednesday.</span><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;">Wednesday during math we will be doing our holiday project so come <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">prepared</span> to be crafty!</span><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;"></span><br /><span style="color:#cc0000;">For my homeroom students, don't forget to buy, wrap and bring your secret <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Santa</span> gift by Friday.
